The Graduate School Office of Writing Initiatives will offer an extended Writing at the Graduate Level workshop beginning on March 5, 2015. The aim of the seven-week workshop is to help students refine their writing at the graduate level through guided understanding of writing in their disciplines. Sessions will cover topics including moving from reading to writing, progressing from idea to argument to completed draft, developing cohesion in writing, learning effective revision techniques, and learning to be an effective peer editor. The interdisciplinary workshop will revolve around the writing of participants along with some readings and is intended for graduate students at the master’s level (doctoral candidates who have not yet taken comprehensive exams may apply). The workshop is limited to twelve students. For more information and to learn how to apply, see ter.ps/wrgradlevel or contact Linda Macri at email@example.com.
